Over 50% of the people heading to Elton John's gig at Páirc Ui Chaoimh tomorrow night are from Cork.
However, ticket sales show that fans are travelling from countries such as Dubai, Holland, Russia and even Taiwan to attend the singers Farewell tour.
30,000 fans are due to descend on the Páirc for his Farewell Tour which is also expected to bring a welcome financial boost to the local ecomony.
Anyone heading to the gig is being urged to use public transport as there will be no parking in the area and the Garda Traffic Management plan will be in operation.
Gates open at 6pm and promoters say Elton John will take to the stage at 8pm sharp.
Jim Clarke, event co-ordinator with Aiken Promotions told RedFM News says Elton John really enjoys performing in Cork:
"Because of his history here in Cork through the Marquee, I think this is one that he will be particularly looking forward to. He's got such a vast range of material that we could keep him here for more than the show. I'm quite sure that everyone leaving here on Friday night will be absolutely exhilarated with what they've heard and what they've seen."
