An emergency plan has been activated, which includes the evacuation of the area.
Several units of the Fire Brigade are currently tackling the blaze, which broke out earlier this morning at the R&H Hall storage facility for animal grain.
A notice which was sent to the Ringaskiddy and District Residents Association is advising locals in the area to stay home and to keep doors and windows shut while the fire is brought under control.
