Emergency services are at the scene of a serious road traffic accident in the city.
Three units of Cork City Fire Brigade are at Wellington Road, as well Gardaí and the National Ambulance Service.
The incident happened shortly before half-past-three.
Gardaí are appealing to motorists to avoid the area between Wellington Road and Dillion's Cross as the road is closed and delays are expected.
