The Minister of State at the OPW says while traders in Bandon have had to endure huge disruption in the town due to ongoing works, the end is in sight.
Minister Patrick O'Donovan says a great deal of work has been undertaken by the OPW in Bandon and some of the delays that have been experienced in recent years have been outside of its control.
Traders in the town were brought to their knees on several occasions over the past decade with flooding events that destroyed shops and homes however the Main Drainage Scheme is expected to protect the town from future flooding.
