The Environment Minister says he's in favour of banning certain dogs.
It's after Nicole Morey was killed in a dog attack in Co. Limerick after celebrating her 23rd birthday on Tuesday night.
It's understood the animal involved was an XL bully.
Eamon Ryan says he would support banning them.
"Personally, I'd be supportive of us restricting banning to such breeds, because it's not just that they're a threat to their owner, it's their threat to the community. I mean literally, a threat in the sense that when you see that type of dog coming at you, you're scared, and I'm thinking, well, why are we terrorizing people in our community."
