Ervia has moved to apologise for the disruption caused to traders and locals in Bandon amid ongoing works to upgrade Bandon’s water main and waste water networks.
It follows coverage by RedFM News last week of potential job losses in the town as traders and locals called for works to be expedited as they continue to experience a reduction in footfall, road closures and traffic diversions.
In a statement issued to RedFM News Ervia say they're working closely with their contractors and the local community to minimise any disruption and to keep the public informed as the work progresses.
The ongoing project represents a €14 million investment by Irish water, working in partnership with Cork County Council, which will safeguard the town’s water supply and address issues with old water pipes.
