The Director of the Victorian Quarter says there will be "teething problems" with the new layout on MacCurtain Street.
The Tánaiste opened the street as a two way on Saturday where buses will now travel in both directions and Bus Éireann says there's been changes made to bus stop locations.
Meanwhile, local businesses say something needs to be done about the illegal parking on the re-vamped street which is extremely busy during school drop off times.
Speaking to RedFM News, Director of the Victorian Quarter Shane Clarke says he hopes everyone will be used to the new layout by Christmas:
"School drop off is an issue citywide. It's a particular issue here on Wellington Road. With any scheme, we will have teething problems while people get used to it. I hope they'll see the problems last for as short a period as time as possible and actually, you know, come early December and come, you know, the real sort of joyful Christmas spirit that we'll have around here that actually things have evened out, and we start seeing it flowing, you know, literally or metaphorically in the right way."
6 buses will serve MacCurtain street, the 207, 208, 209, 203, 215 and 248
