A man has given evidence at a murder trial of being “shocked” after a friend told him he had killed his wife and her body was in their Cork home.
43-year-old Regin Parith-apara Rajan who is from Kerala in India has gone on trial at a sitting of the Cork Central Criminal Court charged with the murder of his wife Deepa Dinami at a home in Cardinal Court in Wilton on July 14th 2023.
Mahesh Murali has told the trial his friend Mr Rajan was worried for the future of his marriage but did not want it to end and that his wife Ms Dinamani was looking for a divorce.
The trial continues today.
