The families of residents at Beaumont Nursing Home are protesting outside the constituency offices of two Cork ministers later this morning.
The group will gather outside the offices of Michael McGrath and Simon Coveney in Carrigaline at 11am to call on the Government to intervene to increase payments to the CareChoice Nursing Home.
Management say they have been forced to withdraw from the Fair Deal scheme due to the lack of adequate funding from the National Treatment Purchase Fund.
Around 40 family members staged a protest outside the constituency office of Micheál Martin on Monday.
Speaking to RedFM News at the protest, Anne Rodgers outlines how families are feeling.
"We're very anxious, very anxious about what's going to happen in the future with our parents, who could possibly be relocated because of insufficient funding.
"I'd like to say that we are fully supportive of CareChoice and what they've been forced to do, and we're here to support them and advocate on our loved ones' behalf.
" We're here to put faces to the names of people as well, so they understand these are some of the most elderly, vulnerable people who are now faced with the possibility of having to move their home."
