Families who lost loved ones in nursing homes during the pandemic are hosting an event in Dublin tomorrow.
The Care Champions group will be joined by the families of people who died at Ballynoe Nursing Home and other nursing homes in the city and county.
A petition that has already been signed by The Alzhimer Society of Ireland, Care Alliance Ireland, the Irish Association of Social Workers and the Nursing Home Quality Initiative, will be launched - to call for the immediate introduction of a Care Partner scheme.
Pat Coyle's wife Veronica died at Ballynoe Nursing Home on the 8th of February 2021.
