A Fermoy family, whose farm will be split in half if the greenway between Mallow and Dungarvan goes ahead, say their concerns are going unheard
A further feasibility study is to be undertaken after landowners along the proposed route raised concerns about land devaluation and difficulties accessing livestock
The area for the greenway is now being widened so a new feasibility study is being undertaken
Speaking to RedFM News Cleona O'Shea says this just leaves her and other farmers in the area in limbo:
"They've done their feasibility study, they've discovered they have no route. But instead of saying it's not feasible, they said they're going to broaden the search area.I'm still in limbo. But like, wherever they go there, unless they're going to go completely on the road, they're going to go into some other farmers, land, which is not going to be really working for them either."
