Cork University Hospital is the most over crowded hospital in the country for the second day in a row.
Figures released by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there are 80 people lying on trollies at CUH, up 12 on yesterday's numbers.
26 people are being treated on trolleys at the Mercy University Hospital and another 9 patients are waiting for beds at Bantry General Hospital.
Yesterday, the INMO warned "winter chaos" is on the way as the number of people waiting on trolleys in Irish hospitals continues to rise.
The union called for urgent action to be taken to reduce the numbers otherwise we are "sleepwalking into another winter crisis".
This morning it emerged that Cork University Hospital is to build two mobile operating theatres in a carpark on the campus.
The theatres will be built in an effort to shorten waiting times for surgical procedures and can also be used to treat trauma cases.
