Fire crews and Gardaí responded to 2 arson attacks in Cork overnight.
A petrol bomb was thrown at a house in Carrigaline shortly before midnight last night.
Another arson attack happened hours later in Ballincollig when a petrol bomb was thrown at a car in Ballincollig at twenty to 4 this morning.
Meanwhile fire crews were alerted to a car on fire in Mayfield at 3.10a, this morning.
Speaking to RedFM News, Cork City Fire Brigades Second Officer Victor Shine says one man was treated for burns at the scene of the car fire in Ballincollig:
"On arrival at scene fire crews found that there had been a car on fire, and a person attempted to extinguish the car using a fire extinguisher and got some minor burns to his hand and in ambulances cars he was treated by the national ambulance service had seen the fire was extinguished and the scene handed over to Gardaí. Mayfield, was just a simple car fire which was extinguished under normal circumstances."
