Fire Crews in Cork had a busy night last night due to the annual Bonfire Night Celebrations.
Extra fire brigade staff were brought in and people were encouraged to avoid attending illegal fires, especially in light of the Covid-19 pandemic and the need to keep green areas clean.
Crews were called to several fires in Mayfield, The Glen, Gurranabraher, Togher, Mahon, Farranree, Dublin Hill, Douglas, Ballyvolane and Churchfield.
Fire control began receiving calls at 6pm. Most of the fires were dealt with by 1:30am, however there was two further calls at 3:40 and 5:42 this morning.
