The first 'Joy in the Park' family fun day will take place in the city this summer.
The one day event which includes music, spoken word, art and theatre will get underway in Fitzgerald's Park on Sunday the 17th of July.
Jerry Fish, trad band Kila and John Spillane are some of the acts performing on the main stage.
Cork's RedFM are media partners to the event, which is being run in partnership with the Cork Mental Health Foundation.
Speaking to RedFM News, founder of 'Joy in the Park', Linda Plover outlines where the inspiration for the event came from:
"To give it context, our family lost somebody very dear to us last year - and her name was Joy. And so, 'Joy In The Park' is her legacy. And it's about celebrating life. It's about raising awareness for mental health and well being".
