The first phase of Cork's newest park will be opened to the public on Monday.
Marina Park will be six times the size of Fitzgerald's Park when fully completed.
The next phase of Marina Park will cover a further 60 acres of parkland from the Atlantic Pond to Blackrock Pier and will include a woodland playground.
A heritage trail will also run through the park and will include access to the Barrington Folly, the old quay walls, the slipway at Dundanion Castle and the Ice cave.
The park will also serve as a flood storage basin for the South Docklands.
