Flood hit residents in Midleton are calling for "less talk and more action" in relation to the installation of flood protection measures in the area.

Up to 1,000 people are expected to attend a protest tomorrow over the lack of interim flood relief measures after 500 homeowners were struck by "biblical" floods in Storm Babet

Organisers of the rally say they feel abandoned now that the media attention and the ministers have gone

Speaking to RedFM New,s Caroline Leahy of Midleton Flood Action group says she feels more vulnerable now than ever:

"I would say we're worse, actually, because there's repairs that haven't been done since storm Babet. There's bridges that are damaged, that needs to be taken out of the system because they are going to act like a dam. So we are all much more vulnerable now than we were pretty October".
