The former President of IBEC, Corkman Dr Tony Barry has died.
He passed away at the Blackrock Clinic yesterday.
Having studied in UCC, and worked internationally, he eventually returned home to Cork to join quarry and cement business, John A Woods.
He eventually became the Chief Executive of the building materials group CRH which was the the biggest company in the country by the late 1980s.
His funeral will take place in Blackrock in Dublin on Tuesday.
