The former personal assistant of Robert De Niro is set to receive $1.2m in damages from the actor's production company.
Canal Productions was ordered to make two payments to Graham Chase Robinson, after being found liable for gender discrimination and retaliation.
Ms Robinson accused the company of paying her significantly less than the star's personal trainer, who was a man.
US based journalist, Harriet Alexander, says the jury sympathised with the former assistant over the lower wage:
"It was certainly a demanding job. And and Dinero admitted this in court he said that he had ordered that she get an Uber for a cocktail to be delivered to him while he was working. And he did admit to that he asked her to scratch his back. He actually yelled in court and said, You've got me here, but then he yelled at her shame on you. And he said that it was a ridiculous charge but the jury found against his company."
