A former teacher of Cillian Murphy says while the Oscar nominated actor wasn't awkward in school, he would always ask the awkward questions
William Wall taught the actor English at Presentation Brothers College and is the man who Cillian says inspired his interest in literature
The actor who is nominated for his role in Oppenheimer was having tea and cake at his parents home in the city when the shortlist for the Academy Awards were announced.
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show William says Cillian had an anti-establishment attitude in school
"He balanced an anti-establishment attitude and anti authoritarian attitude which this deep interest in culture and the arts and he was a leader in his class in that regard as well. Not quite an awkward customer but the customer who would come up with the awkward questions"
