The black and white ruffed lemurs were born to 18 year old mother cloud and 8 year old father Paraic.

The species is native to the tropical forests of Madagascar and is critically endangered due to hunting and loss of habitat.

There are less than 250 of the black and white ruffed lemurs remaining in the wild.
