Fresh development plans are being discussed for the former Mother and Baby Home site at Bessborough.
According to a report in today's Echo, developers Estuary View Enterprises 2020 Limited are seeking to submit plans for 184 apartments and a creche at the site.
The Developers are hoping to submit their planning application under the strategic housing developemnt fast track planning system, which would allow them to bypass Cork City Council's planning department.
It's expected that a decision on the development will be made in January of 2022.
Two seperate planning applications for developmetns at Bessborough were refused permission this year.
