Funding has been approved for Flood Mitigation Works in Coachford.
The mid-Cork village is to receive €36,000 worth of a grant under an Office of Public Works scheme.
Minister of State for the OPW, Patrick O’Donovan, today announced the approval of the County Council’s application.
Work will begin with a Flood Scoping Report to investigate the causes of flooding in the area - so a preferred relief options can be chosen.
