Fundraiser set up by parents of a young Cork boy who died in a traffic accident almost a year ago raises over €25,000 so far

13 year old Jimmy Horgan from Blackrock died after he was struck by a truck close to the Mercy University Hospital on the 17th of November 2020.

His parents Ernest and Rachel set up the fundraiser for the hospital after staff rushed to the scene following the incident.

A torchlight walk from the Lee Rowing Club to the pier in Blackrock will be held on Jimmy's first anniversary next Wednesday at 6pm.
