The body of the 28 year old was discovered at an apartment on Liberty Street in the city at 6:30am on Sunday.
Meanwhile, a man has appeared in court charged with her murder.
29 year old Miller Pacheco of Room 3 Number 5 Liberty Street, Cork City appeared at a special sitting of Cork District Court on Monday evening.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear before the court again next Monday.
