A funeral has been held for a 36 year old woman who died after she was assaulted by up to 3 people as she left as soup run in the city centre.
Mother of three Vanessa O’Callaghan was attacked on Patrick's Street on the 1st of December.
One of the Kindness Krew volunteers, Roslyn Barret, rushed to her assistance and commenced CPR prior to the arrival of paramedics.
However, the native of the Middle Parish died at Cork University Hospital on the 4th of December.
A requiem mass for Vanessa took place at St Peter and Paul’s Church this morning.
