The funeral of Cork stabbing victim Shane Murphy is taking place this morning.
The 27-year-old died a week ago after an incident at his home.
"Shane Murphy and his father, 75-year-old Weeshie, suffered serious injuries after a stabbing at their home in Carrigaline early last Saturday morning.
Shane died at the scene, while Weeshie was rushed to hospital and is in a stable condition.
Shane's brother, 42-year-old John Murphy, of Seaview in Carrigaline, was charged with his sibling's murder and the attempted murder of his father.
Shane's funeral is taking place in Carrigaline at 11.30 this morning, and he'll be buried afterwards in Passage West.
Over 11,000 euro has been raised for the funeral expenses, through a GoFundMe appeal.
It describes Shane as 'one of the greatest pitch and putt players of his generation'."
