The funeral of a Paula Canty who was murdered in Mallow last Friday will take place this weekend.
A man has been charged with murdering the 31-year-old mother of two.
Paula Canty was found dead in her home on Friday the 3rd of January with stab wounds to the chest.
Gardaí appealed for witnesses and launched a murder probe after a post mortem took place.
Yesterday 42-year-old Joseph Butler of The Belfry, Bridwell Lane in Mallow was charged with murdering Miss Canty at the same address.
He was remanded in custody and is due before Mallow District Court via video link on the 14th of January.
Paula Canty will be lying in repose in Gabriel and O'Donovan's Funeral Home in her native Kinsale from 5 o'clock today.
Her requiem mass will take place in St. John the Baptist Church in Kinsale tomorrow morning followed by a burial a St. Patrick's Cemetery in Nohoval.
