Gardai are searching for two armed men who violently beat three people during a robbery at their Cork city apartment
The ordeal began at 6am yesterday morning when the men, one of whom was armed with an iron bar, broke into the apartment on Millerd Street
The occupants - two women and a man - all Chinese nationals in their late 20's and early 30's - were badly beaten during the burglary in which a sum of cash was taken
Speaking to RedFM News Eoin English from the Irish Examiner says the victims sustained serious but non life threatening injuries
"Two men were armed with, what were described to me, as blunt force instruments - one of the men had an iron bar - and these three occupants were subjected to a very violent beating with these implements. They suffered a range of serious injuries including broken ribs, lacerations to their arms and upper bodies and one of the men suffered a fracture to his arm"
