Gardai are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a post office/shop in Ballinhassig on Thursday.
Shortly before 4pm two heavily disguised men who were armed with a firearm and machete entered the premises and demanded money.
The men left the scene in a car with an undisclosed sum of cash and the Gardai were alerted.
No injuries have been reported as a result of the incident.
In a statement to RedFM news a Garda spokesperson said that: "No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing."
