Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a mans body was recovered from the River Lee last Thursday.
The man entered the water between 1 and 1.30am at Shandon Bridge which is at the junction of Lavitt's Quay and Cornmarket Street in the city.
The body of a man in his 50's was removed from the River Lee later that day.
Gardaí are investigating the incident and are appealing to anyone who was in the Lavitt's Quay area of the city on Thursday the 12th of October to contact them.
