The incident took place at around 1:15am when two people broke into a business premises and stole a significant quantity of cigarettes and several mobile phones.
The two suspects then fled the scene on foot through some nearby fields.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the Mill Road area of Youghal between 1am and 1:25am to contact them.
