An 11 year old boy was left in a critical condition
It happened in the Knocknaboul area of Ballydesmond shortly before 5 o'clock yesterday evening.
The driver and three other passengers of the same car the boy was travelling in suffered non life threatening injuries.
Gardai have examined the scene and are appealing for witnesses to come forward or contact Macroom Garda Station on 026 20590 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
