The thieves left 3 bikes at the scene
The doctor, who wishes to remain anonymous, is continuing to battle the Covid-19 outbreak at Cork University Hospital.
In a statement issued exclusively to RedFM News, 3 bikes which are also believed to be stolen were left behind at the doctor's home on the South Douglas Road between 1.30 and 2am this morning.
The car in question is a blue 08 D 63997 BMW estate with a roof rack and a hitch.
Anyone in the South Douglas Road area near the Centra in the early hours of this morning or who may have any information are encouraged to contact Togher Garda Station on 021 494 7120.
