Cracking down on drink and drug driving will be the focus of Gardaí this weekend.
An extensive Roads Policing operation has begun this morning and will last until Tuesday.
The force is aiming to keep road users safe for the Bank Holiday weekend.
So far this year, 32 people have died on the roads, 8 fewer than this time last year.
