Gardaí are continuing their efforts to identify remains found near Midleton over ten months ago.
They were discovered near the Shanty Gate on the old railway line at Westpark in January by workers on the new greenway.
The remains are believed to be those of a female who was over 70 at the time of her death.
A crucifix and other items found close by are believed to have been from a coffin.
The Echo reports Gardaí have so far been unable to make a link between the discovery and any known missing person.
A small number of people who came forward earlier this year have had DNA samples taken from them for testing but no link between them and the remains was found.
