16-year-old transition student Kimberly O'Connor was killed and 2 other teenage boys were seriously injured
The car they were travelling in struck a wall.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on Harbour View Road at 11:45pm.
Both male passengers remain at Cork University Hospital where it's believed one of them is critical.
It's understood Gardai are keen to speak to a taxi driver in a white Toyota who was driving in the area at the time.
The funeral mass of 16-year-old Kimberly O'Connor will take place on Wednesday at Hill Church in Knocknaheeney. She will then be buried at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Kilcully.
