A post mortem has been completed on the body of a man who died after he was found unconscious at a home at Eagle Valley housing estate in Wilton at around 1:10am yesterday morning.
Gardaí and Emergency Services were called to the scene.
The man in his late 20s was brought to Cork University Hospital where was later pronounced dead.
A post-mortem has since been completed on his body, the results of which won't be released for operational reasons.
Gardaí have started a criminal investigation into his death in unexplained circumstances and say this enquiry is ongoing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact an incident room which has been set up in Togher Garda Station.
