Gardaí have identified a suspect in the criminal damage of a defibrillator in Blarney village in the week before Christmas.
The AED was located outside Blarney Woollen Mills, but had to be taken away because the damage left it unusable.
In a statement to RedFM News, Gardaí say that a male in his late teens, was identified as a result of the support and assistance of the public, and that this man has been made amenable.
Compensation has been paid for the damage to the device.
An Garda Síochána thanked the media and the public for all their assistance in the matter.
