It's after the body of a woman was discovered over the weekend
Emergency services were called to the home of a woman in her 50s in the Brookdale area of Riverstick, near Kinsale on Saturday afternoon.
She was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 3pm.
A technical examination has been carried out, and the woman's remains have since been removed to the morgue at Cork University Hospital.
Gardai say the results of the post-mortem will determine the course of their investigation.
