The seizure was made in the City Centre yesterday
He was stopped and searched yesterday afternoon on the Lower Glanmire Road as part of an operation into the sale and supply of drugs in the City.
Diamorphine with an estimated street value of 17,500 euro was seized.
The man was arrested at the scene and is currently being detained at Mayfield Garda station.
