Fermoy gardai are investigating after four teenage boys fell ill at a school in the town
Gardaí said the "medical incident" occurred at the school on Wednesday morning.
The boys were assessed by ambulance crews at the scene and no further immediate medical treatment was needed
A statement issued on behalf of the school by the Cork Education and Training Board confirmed that the gardai and emergency services were on site on Wednesday morning in response to a medical incident at the school
The statement concludes that the incident was successfully managed
In a follow up garda search operation at a commercial premises and residences in Fermoy items "of potentially evidential value" were seized and sent to Forensic Science Ireland for further analysis.
It's believed some of the items seized may have included vapes or cannabis edibles.
