Gardai in Cork are investigating after five containers of liquid nitrogen were stolen from a farmyard.
It happened between 1am and 7.30am on Tuesday in Killeagh.
The containers were removed using an Ifor Williams trailer which was also taken from the farm, along with other specialised farm machinery.
Gardaí are warning people who come across the liquid nitrogen not to interfere with the containers because it can cause severe burns and there is also a risk of suffocation if the substance is released in a confined space.
Gardai are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
