Two houses in Castletownroche and Annakisha were ransacked on Friday afternoon and a number of items were taken.
No one was present at either home and there were no injuries.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have noticed any unusual activity between Kildorrery village and Annakisha Church on the Mallow Road between 11:30am and 12:30pm on Friday to contact them in Fermoy on 025 82 100.
They are also appealing for anyone with dash cam footage of the area at the time to get in touch.
