A man in his 50s was arrested in Youghal following the discovery of human remains at a house in the town.
The remains were found during the investigation into the murder of Tina Satchwell who was reported missing on the 24th of March 2017.
DNA samples have been taken from skeletal remains and Gardaí are in the process of identifying who the bones belong to.
Assistant State Pathologist Dr Margaret Bolster visited the scene this morning and has returned this afternoon.
It’s understood the remains were discovered under floorboards at the house.
Meanwhile Gardaí have also searched a second site in the Park area of Youghal, around 8km from the town.
