Gardaí in Carrigaline seized €1,000 worth of cannabis and a car on Friday night.
Officers responded to reports of two cars acting suspiciously in the Castleheights area of the town.
A man fled one of the cars on foot but was caught after a short chase.
Both men were found to be in possession of cannabis and one of the cars was seized for having no insurance.
Files will be prepared for the DPP and Gardai in Carrigaline have thanked the public for their support.
