GE Healthcare say a new €30 million production line at their facility in Carrigtwohill is further evidence of their commitment to Cork.
The American multinational yesterday announced 140 new jobs for the region, bringing to over 760 the number of people it employs in Cork.
Recruitment for the jobs has been partially completed with roles in manufacturing, project management, engineering and quality control personnel on offer.
Speaking to RedFM News, site lead managing director at GE in Carrigtwohill Eugene Barrett says there are huge positives to being based in Cork:
"We're in Cork now for 30 years. We'll be celebrating our 30 year anniversary in Carrigtwohill next year. We're here for the long term. We have good universities. We have good people here. We want to grow our talent. We coach our talent. Obviously, look talent is scarce, but that means we want our company and our company is a great place to work".
