Have you got a collection of old, too small or too big bras clogging up your drawers?
From the October 18th to the 21st volunteers from the UCC Biomedical Science Society are encouraging people to collect and donate to their ‘Underwear Collection’ in aid of ‘Smalls for All.’
There has never been a more worthy time to conduct a ‘Spring-clean’ in Autumn than to donate to this brilliant cause.
Without even realising it, many of us hold onto bras, even when deep down we know that they won’t fit again, and if we do get around to binning them, we do so without even thinking of how else they could be put to use.
Smalls for All accept donations of new or gently worn (laundered) bras, which will then be distributed to those in need across Africa and the UK.
The bras can be any size, including sports and nursing bras.
If you would like to donate pants underwear you can buy a packet of ladies' size, 8-14, children ages 3-15 or
If you would like to donate underwear pants, simply buy a packet of children's aged 3-15, lady's size 8-14 or men’s size XS-L.
All colours will be accepted however there is a particular demand for black underwear in the smaller ladies’ sizes.
Smalls for All are charity partners with the Biomedical Science Society at UCC.
There will be a drop-off box in the Students Union office and volunteers will be outside the Boole Library from 10am-2pm.
