There could be a glimmer of hope in the dispute between Aer Lingus and its pilots.
The airline has invited IALPA to attend talks aimed at resolving the bitter dispute over pay.
16 flights due in and out of Cork airport have been cancelled so far - with a work-to-rule due to begin on Wednesday before an 8 hour work stoppage on Saturday.
Mark Tighe - President of the Irish Airline Pilots Association - says the invitation from Aer Lingus comes with preconditions, and they're now deciding how to proceed:
"Well, we're in talks or discussions rather - best way saying it - with management, about how this meeting can go ahead. I would be hopeful. Again, I would very much hope that would happen this week. We've always been, and continue to be available to meet the company. It is the company who haven't wanted to meet."
