The Government is being slammed for ending the no-fault eviction ban at the end of March without an effective plan.
570 people were in emergency accommodation in Cork and Kerry last month.
Focus Ireland says a new record number of 1,804 families now homeless, is a level not seen for almost 5 years.
The number of people officially sleeping rough in June reached another new record of 12,600.
Focus Ireland spokesperson, Conor Culkin says the number of families on the streets is unacceptable:
"This is an unfortunate new record in relation to family homelessness as well as overall homelessness. Focus Ireland maintains that this unwanted record is partly due to the government lifting the 'no-fault eviction' ban at the end of March".
